World War II veteran, Will Frank Lowery, had returned from Tulsa to his home town of Henryetta for a visit Friday.  The hero is a 1939 graduate of Henryetta High School.  He had served in the Army-Air Corps as a pilot from 1941 thru 1958.  In 1947 the Air Corps had split from the Army and became the US Air Force.

His visit back where he had grew up gave Mike Doak, President, Henryetta Historical Society and museum director Thomas Hudson the honor of giving a personal guided tour of the Henryetta Territorial Museum.  Mike and Thomas are also veterans of the Vietnam era.

Mr Lowery had shared many stories about his younger days in Henryetta.  From memories of his personal relationship with Alice Ghostley, Jack Gibson and his Henryetta High School class of 1939, he captivated the interest of Mike and Thomas.  He has agreed to stay in touch and possibly return to speak at the Henryetta History Camp and attend Veterans March 2017 at the civic center July 1, 2017.
