The Henryetta Historical Society has announced that Ashley Wolstoncroft will serve as Secretary for the Society’s Board of Directors. She is the editor of The Henryetta Free-Lance and will bring to the Society unique qualities and experience.

Wolstoncroft grew up in Davenport and graduated from Stroud High School in 2012. She went on to study at Oklahoma Baptist University. There, she was involved in women’s varsity lacrosse, the Bisonnette Women’s Glee Club, Shawnee News 30 broadcast news and worked as the editor-in-chief at her university’s newspaper, the Bison.
She graduated Cum Laude from Oklahoma Baptist University in May with a Bachelor of Arts in news and information.
Wolstoncroft’s works have been featured in several publications, including the Shawnee Outlook, Shawnee News-Star, Baptist Press, Baptist Messenger, Commissioning Stories and the Tri-County Herald.
She served as a volunteer journalist for the International Mission Board in South Africa and Botswana, and completed an independent journalism study in Haiti.
